VENEZUELA, tropical country privileged by its geographical location, the gateway to South America, extends over an area of 916,445 km2. It has a diverse landscape full of contrasts and pristine beaches with white sand and unique scenarios of coral reefs, unexplored forests, ecological reserves rich in flora and fauna, snow in the Andes Mountains, deserts, vast plains interrupted by ancient mountain formations more than 2,400 meters high, to colonial peoples, such as Coro, today named a World Heritage Site

Venezuela, allows the direct encounter with the Caribbean Sea. There are over 3.900Kms coastline of white sands and crystalline waters, distributed in various scenarios, such as Los Roques, the only coral atoll in the South Caribbean beaches to the shadows of palm trees, small coves, gulfs, islands like the tortoise, birds and witnesses who worked as former haunt of pirates and the beautiful island of Margarita known as the Pearl of the Caribbean.
At the venezuelan coasts first place of South America known by the conquerors who pushed through the new world, you can still observe the customs of peoples, culture and way of life that originated as a result of the mixture of Spanish conquerors and slaves . The forest occupies 40% of Venezuelan territory, including three states in south and east of the country, characterized by abundant natural resources and tourist attractions. In Bolivar State Canaima National Park shows its relief by the contrasting savannah, furrowed with flowing and turbulent rivers, bordered by dense forest areas and mysterious tepuyes. In Amazonas State forest is thick, moist and tall trees that form an impenetrable upper mantle to sunlight. Its boundaries are mainly framed by the majestic Orinoco and international border with Colombia and Brazil. Amacuro in Delta State is where it empties into the Atlantic Ocean one of the longest rivers and known the world: the Orinoco, in this area are thousands of pipes that form an incredible maze of waterways, around which there is vegetation very special and completely unspoilt.
It belongs to these indigenous forest areas that still maintain their customs and lifestyles, the vast wilderness areas, accessible by air or river and variety of many unique fauna of this region.

Occupying the third part of Venezuelan territory, the plains is located between the Andes and the Guiana Shield, in the heart of Venezuela. With its two annual seasons of rain and drought, and holder of several water bodies (rivers, creeks, lagoons and estuaries) is the ideal destination for ecotourism in Venezuela, in this territory coexist a variety of wildlife such as birds (herons, hawks , eagles, falcons, the troupial) mammals: deer, bears, palms, the howler the largest primate in this country, jaguar, puma, foxes, river dolphin, the capybara the world's largest rodent, reptiles: anaconda, the world's largest snake, crocodiles, turtles and snakes.

Along the Venezuelan territory there are big cities too, the main is Caracas, capital of Venezuela, located in a valley, bordered on the north side of the mountains of El Ávila National Park which separates the Caribbean Sea city, has about eight million inhabitants and is known for being the city of eternal spring.
The city of Porlamar on the Island of Pearls: Margarita, is characterized by its beautiful beaches and its free port that makes it an important trading center and yet is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the country.
Puerto la Cruz, a town famous for its huge port and sunny beaches of the Caribbean, in addition to its well-known Columbus Boulevard Walk two kilometers long
Other cities like: Merida sheltered by the Andes, Porlamar Cumana at the east of the country and the Caribbean Sea, Ciudad Bolivar and Puerto Ordaz Puerto Ayacucho at the south of the territory are gateways to the forest zone and Maracaibo the most important oil city in the country. They are combined from tall buildings and complex highways to streets and houses of the nineteenth century, which make up a large part of Venezuelan territory.
